Every business starts somewhere. Ours started with a book collection that had outgrown every shelf in the house.
It Began With Books
The idea for Havenheim wasn't born in a boardroom or a business plan. It grew out of a very personal search — the search for the right furniture to store and show off a growing book collection. Floor-to-ceiling shelving. A proper home library. The kind of space that makes a room feel complete.
Finding the right bookcases meant discovering craftspeople who cared deeply about what they made, and delivery teams who took the same care bringing those pieces into the home — carrying them over banisters, around tight corners, into exactly the right spot. That attention to detail made a lasting impression.
From One Room to a Whole Home
Once the shelves were in place, the next question was obvious: where do you sit to actually read?
The right reading chair for a book nook. A sofa for a cosy corner. The perfect headboard and pillows for reading in bed. One good piece of furniture leads naturally to the next, and gradually a vision took shape — not just for one room, but for a whole home filled with pieces that feel considered, comfortable, and genuinely worth living with.
Family and friends started to notice. They wanted the same thing: furniture that made their homes feel extraordinary, not just furnished.

We're based in Taunton, and we work with courier partners and warehouses across the UK to make sure the furniture we love reaches you in the same condition we'd want it ourselves. Our team is small, friendly, and genuinely invested in getting it right — from the first browse to the moment a piece finds its place in your home.
